The PowerCover twist and touch protection elements fix the direction of the wire-to-board connections and serve as shielding. PowerCover elements are reversibly plugged onto Powerelements such as LF PowerPlus or pressed in one step with Powerelements such as (LF) PowerOne.
PCBs shall be designed in accordance with the latest edition of IPC A 600. In the case of massive press-fit technology, the PCBs must be designed in accordance with the Würth Elektronik ICS Press-fit Specification. Special attention should be paid to drill diameters and copper thickness.
The torques listed in the table are based on DIN 267 Part 25. Different material combinations or thread lengths for bushings are not considered.

The current carrying capacity of a press-fit connection must always be considered in the context of the overall system. The press-fit zone has an extremely low contact resistance of 100-200 μOhm, so the limiting factor is usually the PCB layout or the connection of external leads.
